MARQUETTE -- The Marquette Area Blues Fest is coming up for Labor Day weekend, and tickets are already on sale.

The Blues Fest will be held at Mattson Lower Harbor in Marquette. There will be a total of 10 bands playing throughout the weekend. On Saturday the band Trampled Under Foot will be headlining and on Sunday Carolyn Wonderland will.

"We've been able to bring bigger and better bands over the course of the years, our budget has grown," said Walt Lindala of the Marquette Blues Society. "We've gathered some good support from the community, but we really encourage people to get out now and get tickets and make sure they get involved."

The festival runs Saturday and Sunday on Labor Day weekend. It starts at noon and finishes up at 10 p.m.

For ticket information, check out the Marquette Area Blues Fest website.
