KINGSFORD -- With bullying becoming a more common issue among kids, a day care in Kingsford decided to stage an intervention.

Little Explorers in Kingsford requested Michigan State Trooper Geno Basanese to speak to kids ranging from six to ten years old about bullying. Staff say they see it often and want kids to be aware of how their actions can hurt others.

"Start teaching them about bullying and how much it hurts others. Hopefully, even if I help one or two children understand, than I feel like I'm doing something," said Denise Malone, Little Explorers owner.

Staff also mentioned that they see bullying in the day care among all ages of kids, and that it's starting younger and younger.
