As we sit under mostly high pressure, conditions should remain calm and pleasant for most of Sunday. Highs will be in the mid 70s with light and variable winds and mostly sunny skies. Some clouds will be moving in from the west throughout the afternoon and evening.
Sunday night lows will fall into the 50s, warmer near the lakes. Winds will be very light, but steadily pick up a bit out of the southwest. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy as cloud cover steadily increases overnight.
On Monday a weak cold front will pass in the late afternoon and night. Expect mostly cloudy skies, but a few light rain showers or even a thundershower are possible along the front. Winds will pick up out of the northwest and highs will be in the 70s.
Monday night should still see some rain in the east, but any rain should still be light. Lows will be in the low to mid 50s with near 60 on the shores of the lakes. Winds will be light out of the northwest.
The rest of the week shows a likely trend of highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s with the occasional chance for rain. Thursday looks to be the most likely for storms.
If you see any clear spots at night, you may want to keep your eyes open for any Perseid meteors as the meteor shower continues. I saw at least 20 Saturday night. Let me know how many you saw on my Facebook page.
