ISHPEMING -- It was the 11th annual Buzz the Gut car show in Ishpeming on Saturday.

Around 300 cars filed into the parking lot outside the Cliff's Shaft Mine Museum. Drivers of a wide variety of cars displayed their vehicles in a 'show and shine' from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday. Registration was free. Several vendors were on hand offering shirts and other souvenirs. The Lions Club had food available.

Buzz the Gut has been growing in popularity each year.

"It's something that we just dreamt up to do because there's nothing going on for cars, and it's just grown and grown. Now it's just kind of on autopilot almost, so it's kind of fun," said Terry Surrell, Vice President of Buzz the Gut.

At 7 p.m., the cars went to buzz the gut through Ishpeming and Negaunee before ending at the Ishpeming Elks Club for a sock hop at 8 p.m.
