LAKE SUPERIOR -- A Munising folk singer and songwriter that is attempting to sail around Lake Superior has been found.
Family members reportedly lost contact with Carl Behrend as he was sailing around Lake Superior. The family said that he has since been spotted by some hikers near Willow Bay, Ontario.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard, contact was last made with Behrend on July 31, off the coast of Ontario, Canada. Authorities put out a call to all mariners to report whether they had spotted his catamaran.
Behrend departed from Munising on July 26 to travel around Lake Superior.
