MARQUETTE COUNTY -- A lifetime of memories live on behind the doors of the old Northwoods Supper Club building.

"I can't tell you how many people have told me, my first date with my wife was at the Northwoods, or we got engaged at the Northwoods," said former Northwoods manager Maggie Mahoney.

It used to be the place to go in Marquette, but no longer.

Even though the building may be empty, the memories of the Northwoods customers and employees still live on inside. And at the upcoming reunion, they'll be honoring the busier times. Those who once frequented the beloved bar and restaurant are ready to take a trip down memory lane.

"Some of us haven't worked together in 15 years, but you still have that bond. Friendship is still there, and that's what we're trying to rekindle with this reunion. We want to tell the funny stories and to relive those wonderful memories," Mahoney added.

And for those who were a part of the "Northwoods family," they're eager to see the man who was in charge of it all--Ron Klumb.

"A lot of us want to say thank you to Ron. The care that he put into the community, and I don't think people realize how much Ron, the effect Ron had on the community, how giving he was. And we just want to give back. We want our customers to come back because we miss them. I miss them," said former Northwoods employee Colleen Snyder.

The reunion starts August 17 at Marquette Mountain and lasts all weekend.
