MARQUETTE -- The trial of a Marquette County man accused of operating a meth lab continued in Marquette County Circuit Court.

Forty-four-year-old Brian Chapman Howe is charged with one count of operating or maintaining a meth lab and one count of conspiracy to operate or maintain a meth lab. The charges stem from an incident in December when a meth lab at a Gwinn home exploded. Howe sustained severe burns in the explosion.

The prosecution rested its case on Wednesday, meanwhile the defense continued to present its evidence. There's no word yet whether Howe will take the stand in his own defense.

If convicted he could face 20 years in prison.
