CALUMET -- A two vehicle crash in Calumet sent a 17 year old to the hospital on Monday.

The crash happened just before noon on US-41, about a half mile south of Airport Road. Michigan State Police say a 66-year-old Houghton man was attempting to make a left turn while towing a fifth-wheel trailer when he was rear ended by a 17-year-old man from Calumet.

The vehicle became pinned underneath the trailer. The teenager had to be extricated from the vehicle. He is being treated at Marquette General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The names of those involved have not been released.
