MARQUETTE -- A Marquette beach is closed Friday because of a high E. coli reading.

North Beach, the beach north of Picnic Rocks between Fair Avenue and Hawley Street, is closed until 4 p.m. Saturday. Signs are posted in the area.

As you may recall, South Beach in Marquette was closed for a day last week because of a high E. coli water sample.
