MARQUETTE -- Are older sports cards of any value in the Upper Peninsula, and where can you sell them?
These are questions our Facebook fans wanted the answer to on Friday.
Some say it's a dying hobby. Nowadays, sports cards from the 1950s and '60s may hold some value on websites like eBay.
"Sports cards used to be a fun hobby, then companies like Upper Deck started releasing super high gloss cards with half the contents of the old packs for two or three times the price," said Facebook user Ryan Bernard. "Was not a hobby anymore, was turned into an investment and we didn't have the money to keep collecting."
Locally, Sportscard Connection in downtown Houghton offers some trading and selling.
