ESCANABA -- It's called Pedals by the Bay, and this is the first year this vintage bicycle show will be held. It's taking place in Escanaba.
B & L Custom Cabinetry is putting on a bike show for the community. Organizers say this is a chance for adults and kids to show off their bikes. There'll be trophies awarded for the oldest bike and best bikes from different eras.
“We're hoping for hundreds of bikes,” says organizer, Brian LaFave. “I've got a few friends that're supposed to be bringing a lot of old bikes down there. I’ve been talking to everybody to try to get them to bring their old bicycles. They can bring new bicycles, too. It’s for any type of bicycle.”
It'll take place this Saturday, August 4, at Ludington Park.
The event is free to the public and it costs nothing to register. Registration will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Trophies will be given out at 3 p.m.
