MARQUETTE -- A man involved in a stabbing incident last month in Marquette pleaded guilty to reduced charges on Friday, in exchange for testimony against his co-defendant.

Twenty-year-old Danny Weymouth of Ishpeming was arraigned in Marquette County Circuit Court Friday morning. He pleaded guilty to one charge of possessing an illegal analog controlled substance, which carries a maximum sentence of two years in prison and a $2,000 fine.

Weymouth agreed to testify against 19-year-old Taylor Mitchell, also of Ishpeming. Mitchell allegedly stabbed Zachary Skinner in the head, leg, and back on the morning of June 18.

Weymouth said he was under the influence of bath salts at the time of the incident. He will be sentenced on August 10.
