After six days with official highs above 80, three of which were above 90, and lots of intense storms, we should now see much calmer and less warm weather this weekend.

Saturday's highs should be relatively seasonal in the 70s, but it could exceed 80 in a few locations, like along the Wisconsin line. Any morning clouds should clear away to reveal mostly sunny skies. A light northerly wind will keep it coolest along Lake Superior, but not by too much anymore. Lake Superior's water temperatures aren't as chilly these days.

Saturday night's lows should cool down into the 50s. Winds will lighten up and skies will be mostly clear which will be nice for any aurora viewing. The Sun has been very active recently so don't be surprised if you see some nice colors in the sky.

Our weather is mostly dominated by high pressure now, but on Sunday a small and weak area of low pressure will enter the area and bring a chance for some light showers Sunday afternoon and evening. Otherwise, Sunday's highs should be in the upper 70s to low 80s. Skies will be partly cloudy and winds will be light and variable.

The rest of the week should see mostly normal summer highs in the 70s and low 80s. 90s are not looking likely for a while. Weather is also looking to be on the dry side.

For more info, you can always find me on Facebook. I've recently posted several pictures of yesterday's clouds that came just ahead of the storms.
