ALGER COUNTY -- An Alger Correctional Facility inmate who is accused of the murder of a fellow inmate will face no charges at this time.

The Alger County Prosecutor's Office has determined that Andre Adams is chargeable with the murder of Carlos Love, which occurred on May 31, 2012. No charges will be brought against Adams at this time because he is currently in prison for life without parole regarding a 2007 conviction of first degree murder, according to officials.  The prosecutor's office is prepared to file charges if there is a change in his prison sentence.

The prosecutor further stated that "while it goes against every personal and professional instinct to do nothing about a chargeable murder, the fact remains that we cannot obtain additional consequences for the prospective defendant."
