HOUGHTON -- The Houghton Police Department is investigating an accident involving a car and a bicycle.
The accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. Friday, when a 74-year-old man, visiting the Houghton area, was traveling west on a bicycle on the waterfront bike path. He collided with a vehicle driven by a 66-year-old Hancock resident who was pulling into the Superior Block entrance. The bicyclist was transported to Portage Health Hospital by Mercy Ambulance for his injuries.
No word on his condition.
