MARQUETTE -- The Model A Ford Club of America's national convention is underway in the Marquette area.   Model A owners have traveled from all over the country for this convention.

At the Superior Dome, many owners were prepping their cars Wednesday afternoon for Thursday's judging. All of the cars in show were built between 1928 and 1931.  Some are trailered around for display only, but many others have been seen on the road.

Garrett De Young is from Illinois and drives a 1929 two-door coupe.  He's one of nearly 500 who drove to Marquette to showcase a Model A.

"Probably the best thing to do is to meet different people; enjoy talking to different people," said De Young.

The Superior Dome will open its doors to the public Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
