MARQUETTE -- Closing arguments wrapped up Wednesday in the federal court case against two Upper Michigan men involving more than 4,000 pounds of explosives.

John Francis Lechner, a 64-year-old from Sault Ste. Marie, is accused of buying, hiding, and transporting more than 4,000 pounds of ammonium nitrate and fuel oil at his Chippewa County farm.

His co-defendant, 53-year-old Ken Kassab of Brimley, is charged with illegal transportation of explosives.  Both men testified in their own defense on Wednesday.

Jury instructions will be given Thursday morning at 9 a.m. with deliberations to follow.
