KINGSFORD -- On Monday night the Kingsford City Council meeting will have a public hearing and reach a decision on whether or not to dismantle the ordinance on pit bulls.
The pit bull ordinance was instituted in 1987. Residents challenged the ban this May with a signed petition of over 150 signatures. They argue the ordinance is unfair, singling out a specific breed.
Council members assigned a committee to overlook the ordinance and they expect to make a final decision at Monday night's city council meeting at 6:30 p.m. CT.
