MARQUETTE -- The Rotary Club of Marquette is teeing off to help kids in their community.

Over 150 business and community members took to the links Thursday to raise money for the YMCA of Marquette County.  It costs individuals $100 and $500 for a team to participate.

The event's big sponsors included Rio Tinto and River Valley Bank.  The money raised goes toward the Y's Strong Kids Campaign.

"The Strong Kids Campaign actually provides funding for those children who can't afford to join the Y.  So the Y is open for all families and children," said Rotary member, Chantae Lessard.

A dinner and an auction followed the outing.  The group expected to raise roughly $40,000 for the Y.
