ESCANABA -- They call themselves 'The Lofty Girls,' and they're all three business owners whose shops are located at the Lofts on Ludington Apartments in Escanaba.

They recently opened, and Thursday they had their official grand opening with family and friends.  They cut a ribbon and had a celebration.  The businesses are Salon West and Spa, Pink Sugar and Company, and Holly Nylund Photography.

"You know, I didn't meet these girls until we got into this, but they've already become such good friends, and I think what we can do together will be really cool.  There are a lot of possibilities for working together, and I think it'll be a really great relationship for the future," said business owner, Holly Nylund.

Nylund says the seniors she photographs can have their hair and makeup done at Salon West and Spa and buy a new outfit at Pink Sugar.
