MARQUETTE -- The case against a Wisconsin man involved in a high speed chase through two counties has been dropped.
This was part of a global resolution, so he could face more serious charges in Wisconsin. Tyler Voet was arrested in November of 2011 for leading police on a high speed chase from Chocolay Township and into Alger County.
The Michigan charges were dismissed, and he was sent back to Wisconsin. There he plead guilty on May 22 to burglary, armed with a dangerous weapon.
Voet was sentenced on May 30 to three-and-a-half years in prison, followed by four-and-a-half years of extended supervision.
