Pit bull owner pleads not guilty

MUNISING -- The owner of a pit bull that attacked an eight-year-old girl pled not guilty in court Monday.  John Janes of Munising entered the plea during his arraignment in Alger County Circuit Court.

Janes is charged with having a dangerous animal and being a habitual offender.  The attack happened May 18.  The girl was seriously injured, but there's been no update on her condition.

Janes will be back in court June 18.
