SENEY -- A change in the weather is making firefighting at Seney National Wildlife Refuge a little easier on Friday.

The wildfire which was started by a lightning strike is still around 3,200 acres and holding within containment lines, according to officials at the refuge.  A shift in the wind has also caused the fire to start burning back into previously burned areas.

The fire, which is currently 65 percent contained, has not destroyed any structures.  Officials are also checking the peat bogs in the refuge to see if they have been affected by the fire.

Firefighters are looking at favorable weather conditions for the weekend, which will help efforts to control the wildfire.
