ESCANABA -- A boat owned by the Prince of Norway, but now owned by an Escanaba family, disappeared and is now back in Escanaba being restored.
Chris Schram is the owner of The Oslo, a boat his grandfather had in Escanaba from 1936 to 1948. Through Internet searches, Schram located the boat two and a half years ago in Port Huron, Michigan.
He's been working to restore it, and Escanaba Moving Systems will help with the transport out of Escanaba.
"So, I think it was important that it came back here," said Schram, "and I was touched to see a number of older gentlemen and ladies come by over the last two days to encourage the work and to see the boat again."
The Oslo is going to Holland for a year, where Schram now lives, then it'll return to Escanaba and remain with his family.
