MARQUETTE -- The sun was out, winds were blowing from the southwest, and all were on deck. It was perfect conditions for a maiden voyage.
Co-owner Peggy Frazier says the new Harbor Cruise is a way to attract people to the shoreline.
"I've been working with Lake Superior for the last 14 years to get the lower harbor more unabated and a more economically viable part of our community. This is the addition we needed," said Frazier.
Aboard the Isle Royale Queen III, guests cruise the coast of Marquette. It's a two-hour cruise that's sure to show guests a new perspective of Marquette.
Sailing at 12 mph, the new cruise takes you to Presque Isle and around Partridge Island.
Molly Carmody, co-owner, says you'll see things you've never seen.
"There is so much historical scenery and buildings that you will see on this cruise," said Carmody.
All on board loved it!! Dort Schlintz says it's a perfect outting.
"It's awesome, absolutely fabulous. It's everything that we hoped it would be and more. We are just grateful that it's an opportunity available to the people in the Marquette area," said Schlintz.
The cruise will be going on all summer. For adult tickets, it's $25 and kids under 14 pay $10. Tickets are available at the Lower Harbor ticket office and group rates and pritvate charters are also available.
