Kids at the camp welcomed the Kukla brothers with signs and warm cheers
BIG BAY -- After four and a half days, a long hike comes to an end at Bay Cliff Health Camp in Big Bay.
Kids at the camp welcomed the Kukla brothers with signs and warm cheers. This is the fourth year they made the hike, starting at the Al Quaal Recreational Area in Ishpeming. What originally began as a hiking challenge turned into a way to raise money for kids with special needs.
"We actually had the kids this year, I think autism, and actually got to see and hang out with those guys, so it was great to actually see what we we're giving the cash to, so it was nice," said Brian Kukla, one of the hikers.
So far they have raised more than $5,000. All of the funds will go toward costs at the Bay Cliff Health Camp.
