ESCANABA -- Robert Williams recently had his 87th birthday, and he decided to celebrate by sharing his gifts at the Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba. He's been playing the piano for most of his life. He's taught it and done a lot of work as a professional. Williams says that music has always been a very central part of his life.
The residents of Bishop Noa were very happy to be treated to a private concert of familiar tunes.
"I like to play things that are not difficult to listen to. You can't hit everybody with their favorite, of course, so mostly I have found that if I play the ones that I really like that they will tend to like them," said Williams.
Williams says he's hoping to come back and play classical piano for the residents again.
