Nearly 700 people showed up for opening night of the TV6 Mother's Day Craft Show at the Superior Dome in Marquette
MARQUETTE -- Nearly 700 people showed up for Friday's opening night of the TV6 Mother's Day Craft Show at the Superior Dome in Marquette.
Dozens of booths offered a wide array of items that could be Mother's Day gifts: flowers, bird houses, and candles to name a few. Karen Brzys sells products made from agates at her booth from her agate store and museum in Grand Marais.
"One thing about this show is there is a regular contingent of kids that come on a regular basis to my booth, and we always get to have nice discussions about rocks, and sometimes they bring me some of their favorite rocks to look at, and that's the fun part of this show for me too," said Brzys.
There were around 2,000 visitors to the craft show on Saturday, that's a few hundred more than last year. The show continues on Sunday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
