Friday's passing cold front brought a few cooler temperatures for Saturday, but not by much, and the associated rainfall was minimal. Now we're in for more of a dry spell with high pressure taking over. On a note of interest, the passing cold front did reveal something cool on the radar Friday evening.
For Saturday, expect highs to be a bit more seasonal. Most of the UP will see highs in the low to mid 60s. As high pressure moves in to our south, we'll experience a bit of a northerly wind in the daytime, keeping it cooler near Lake Superior. Morning clouds will clear away to reveal lots of sunshine throughout the afternoon.
Skies should remain mostly clear Saturday night. Lows will be a bit cooler in the mid to upper 30s. Winds will shift to a more westerly flow.
On Sunday, highs will warm up into the 60s and low 70s again as a southwest wind takes effect behind the passing high pressure system. There may be a few clouds, but it should otherwise be a mostly sunny day.
Sunday night's lows will only fall into the 40s. Skies will be partly to mostly clear.
Expect temperatures to remain in the 60 degree range much of the upcoming week, and there may be some 70s mixed in Monday. Things should remain mostly dry for several days as well.
Be on the watch for auroras on Monday night! A CME was observed leaving the Sun Friday night and should arrive Monday afternoon.
