ISHPEMING -- Work is underway in downtown Ishpeming as the Skerbeck Brothers Carnival is getting set to start up. This year's carnival will feature a few new rides including a funhouse. All proceeds will be going to benefit the Bay Cliff Health Camp in Big Bay. Organizers are excited about having the carnival in Ishpeming and look forward to a big turnout.
"It's a great, clean show. It's one of the oldest in the country and safety record wise, it's got the best safety record in Michigan. It's just a great place to be. And downtown, who doesn't like to come to downtown Ishpeming and have a great time and a great evening," said organizer Kurt Kipling.
The carnival will open up Thursday at 4 p.m. and will run through Saturday. Tickets are just $15 and that allows you to ride all of the rides all day long.
