Woman gets prison time for abuse of three-month-old child

Angel Dawn Micheau sentenced in Escanaba for first degree child abuse

ESCANABA -- The woman convicted of first degree child abuse received her sentence Thursday morning.

Angel Dawn Micheau was sentenced six years, three months to fifteen years in prison for the April 2011 child abuse incident.

Micheau was found guilty in March for abusing her three-month-old baby girl who was diagnosed with burns and broken bones.

She will be headed to prison with credit for 189 days served.
