Brush fire reported in Ishpeming

ISHPEMING -- A brushfire broke out in Ishpeming Monday evening. The fire started a little after 7 p.m. near the corner of Willow and Division in Ishpeming.

Firefighters were nearby attending a seminar on operating emergency vehicles when they received a 911 call from a resident near the fire who feared it had spread to the family's camper.

Firefighters put the fire out quickly before it damaged the camper. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
