MARQUETTE -- A small fire broke out Monday evening at the We Energies Presque Isle power plant in Marquette.

Marquette Fire Chief Tom Belt said the fire started in a coal bunker around 7:30 p.m.

The fire was quickly brought under control, but they did have to empty the coal bunker.

Chief Belt said the fire appears to have started spontaneously.  There was no damage to the plant.
