UPPER PENINSULA (AP) -- The Coast Guard has assisted two people aboard a 48-foot commercial fishing vessel that ran aground on the St. Mary's River in the eastern Upper Peninsula.

In a news release, the Coast Guard says there were no injuries, and the vessel didn't pose a hazard to maritime navigation. The names of the crewmembers that were helped aren't being released.

The vessel ran aground early Thursday near the north side of Neebish Island.
