HOUGHTON COUNTY -- An Ontonagon woman is facing multiple charges of fraud after the Copper Country Mental Health of Houghton and Ontonagon found discrepancies within their agency and contacted authorities.

The Michigan State Police reviewed the case, and a 15 count warrant was issued.  The 43-year-old woman turned herself in and was released on a $250,000 bond; her name is being withheld pending arraignment on May 1.

Charges against the woman include forgery, embezzlement, as well as several different counts of embezzlement from a vulnerable adult.
