A large turnout at a Marquette Senior High School fundraiser has the Redmen baseball team excited about this coming season.  Local businesses pitched in to help make this years spaghetti dinner at the Elks Club bigger and better than in the past few years. Organizers say this was the best crowd they've had and the funds are needed throughout the year.

"The school does not provide any money for our baseball team so everything is paid for by the parents and the community donating money or coming to events like this," said Tracey Henriksen of the MSHS Baseball Boosters.

The team has purchased a new pitching machine this year and plans to have more tournaments throughout the season which will increase the teams travel expenses. Another fundraiser is planned for April 29. The boosters will be hosting a pancake breakfast at the Elks Club in Marquette.
