MARQUETTE -- A group of Marquette Senior High School students will be heading to Ypsilanti to square off in a robotics competition.
The Cold Logic team has been working diligently on components of their robot, which has earned them the right to compete in the state finals. The First Robotics event pits high school teams against one another using sophisticated robots, to throw basketballs. The competition gives students a chance to experience high tech engineering and technology not found in your average classroom.
"Basically this entire club is basically paving the way for some of our most scientific technicians of the future," said Mitchell Frye of the Cold Logic Team.
The competition is called Rebound Rumble. The robots will try to score as many baskets as possible. The team will be heading to Ypsilanti on Wednesday and will be representing the area as they battle for the state championship.
