MARQUETTE -- A select group of Northern Michigan University art students will have their work on display at the City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center this month. The exhibit is called "Grains, Fibers and Threads"and it contains a range of work that uses materials you might not find in an exhibit. The art includes works done using wood, fabrics and photography. The exhibit gives NMU students a chance to show their work to a different crowd.
"I think that this is an opportunity for students to have a professional show outside of campus and it's wonderful it's in the town that they're going to school in. Its our chance to share their work with people in the Marquette community," said Tiina Harris Arts and Culture Center Manager.
The exhibit opened Thursday to a steady crowd and will be on display at the Peter White Public Library until the 27th of April. For more information on the Arts and Culture Center, click here.
