MARQUETTE -- Marquette city firefighters spent their afternoon putting out a vehicle fire near Marquette Mountain around 1 p.m.

Authorities say the engine of an older vehicle caught on fire, causing minor damage to two other vehicles nearby.  It then also caused a 200 square-yard brush fire.  Authorities also want to remind everyone that the fire danger remains high for Thursday's dry conditions..

A Department of Natural Resources crew assisted at the scene.
