LITTLE LAKE -- One local artist will have his work on display at this Saturday's Upper Peninsula Environmental Coalition Celebration.
Bill Hamilton has been painting U.P. watercolor landscapes for over 40 years. He takes photos from across the U.P. and turns them into masterful paintings that capture the beauty of Upper Michigan.
For Hamilton the natural landscapes of the U.P. provide more than enough work to keep him busy.
"I still like to live here on the lake and watch the seasons change and try to capture them sometimes in photos or water colors," said Hamilton.
The UPEC celebration will click off on Friday night at the Peter White Public Library. The event continues with presentations all day long on Saturday including one from Hamilton at the Federated Women's Clubhouse in Marquette.
