LAKE LINDEN -- It was an afternoon dedicated to veterans Wednesday as the American Legion Post 90 in Lake Linden held their annual Spring Jamboree.

The jamboree offered live music throughout the day featuring a different band every hour.   The Forgotten Eagles of Post 90 are a volunteer organization, and all of the money raised at this event stays local to help support veterans.

"There are a lot of veterans in the area that could use the help. Veterans are some of the proudest people you can find or come across," said Forgotten Eagles President, Albert Utzman.  "They're afraid to ask for help and they may feel embarrassed by it, but the money we raise is strictly for them.  We've helped people pay property taxes and we've paid their utility bills that have gone past due."

Volunteers from the event say it's a great way to show their appreciation for veterans.

Although they only have one jamboree a year, it still gives veterans the chance to enjoy each other's company.
