MARQUETTE -- Preschoolers took a trip to the Marquette Ramada Inn Wednesday for some pre-Easter fun and a lesson in table manners.
The highlight of the day for the "Kids-R-Us" preschoolers was a massive Easter egg hunt. Children scrambled all over to find the candy-filled eggs. It was all topped off with a visit from the Easter Bunny. Then they watched a short movie about proper table manners.
The kids gathered in a circle to discuss what they learned, like saying please and thank you, to clean your mouth with a napkin, and to never speak with your mouth full.
Teaching table manners is a regular topic at Kids-R-Us.
"Today we decided just to extend that out, that learning of how we sit at the table and how we eat our food and things like that," said Kids- R-Us Director, Latonya Redfearn. "So this is just an extension of what we've been learning all year."
Kids-R-Us hopes to repeat the event again next year.
