Gogebic County man jailed for stabbing

IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP -- A suspect is in the Gogebic County jail following a stabbing incident in Gogebic County this past weekend.

The Gogebic County Sheriff's Department reports that they were called to a home in Ironwood Township around 10:40 Sunday morning.

A 38-year-old Ironwood Township man was arrested and lodged in the Gogebic County jail on a $50,000 bond and awaits arraignment. The victim, a 52-year-old man, is currently hospitalized in Duluth, Minnesota. He is in stable condition.

No names or further details on the case are being released at this time.
