Relay For Life a success despite a dip in numbers

The event took in around $23,000, about $700 less than last year

MARQUETTE -- Although money raised was slightly down this year, organizers of the NMU Relay for Life said the event was still a success.

The event took in around $23,000, about $700 less than last year. Participation was slightly down as well. Around 30 teams rallied together for cancer survivors and victims.

It all wrapped up Saturday afternoon.
