October Baby is a film based on true events about a college girl seeking her birth parents after discovering she's a survivor of an attempted abortion

MARQUETTE -- The Care Clinic in Marquette is helping to tell an inspirational story, one that's premiering on the big screen in Marquette.

October Baby is a film based on true events about a college girl seeking her birth parents after discovering she's a survivor of an attempted abortion. After learning about the movie, the clinic took action and purchased 1,000 movie tickets to help bring the story to the U.P.

"Bringing this movie to Marquette is a wonderful way to share with the community a little bit more about what we do at the Care Clinic and also just share what this movie represents, and it touches on adoption, pregnancy, abortion, but most importantly, it touched on just the love and the forgiveness," said Cindy Asher, executive director of the clinic.

The movie will play at the Carmike Royal Cinema in Marquette through Thursday.
