Well, we haven't broken another record high since the April 21 where we reached 81 degrees, shattering the previous record of only 49 set in 1990 and 1987. Temperatures are starting to become cooler again, but they're still going to remain above average for this time of year.

Saturday's highs will reach into the 50s for Upper Michigan, though it may remain a bit cooler out east. Winds should be light and variable. Any lingering fog or rain should clear away as the afternoon progresses. Skies will start out overcast but should reveal a few peaks of sunshine throughout the day.

Saturday night will cool down into the 30s for most locations, but it will likely remain around 40 or warmer down south. Some locations nearest to Lake Superior will be coldest and can even drop below freezing as winds pick up a bit out of the northwest. If you've already planted for the spring, you may want to keep an eye on plants that may die. Skies will clear up more at night, but they should remain mostly cloudy.

Despite greater sunshine, Sunday will be colder. As winds pick up out of the north, temperatures will struggle to exceed 40s in the northern U.P. Southern temps should reach above 50.

Sunday night, temps will fall to around 30 degrees and colder. It will be coolest in the western interior. Winds will shift to a more northeasterly flow, and skies will continue to clear up.

Temperatures should continue this cooler trend for several more days. Keep in mind that it is still a bit above average. For Saturday, the average high is 37 and the average low is 17. The next notable weather event looks to be rain on Tuesday.
