MARQUETTE -- The Upper Peninsula Children's Museum turned 15 years old Thursday.  The museum celebrated with music, party games, pizza and, of course, cake.  For 15 years now, the museum has been getting kids and their families to learn in a creative and interactive environment.

"There's nothing more wonderful to me when little kids come to the things that we put on and the families come, and we had quite a few people here tonight. Yeah, it was really nice," said Nheena Weyer Ittner, the director of the children's museum.

The next step for the museum is to revamp the human body exhibit. They will be getting input from children about how they can make improvements to it.  The children's museum is open seven days a week and is located on Baraga Avenue in Marquette.
