ESCANABA -- Lately, the weather has been nice enough to spend more time outdoors, and there's something to look forward to if you're a golf enthusiast.

The Highland Golf Club in Escanaba is opening up Saturday for their 2012 season. They'll be open at 10 a.m. Eastern. Last year there was a late start because of the weather, and they didn't open until April 15. There's even a Spring special at the golf course:  $25 will get you 18 holes and a cart.

"I think the most exciting thing is that we're the only course that I know that will be open tomorrow, so it's pretty exciting. Also, with March Madness, with St. Patrick's Day, you can't go wrong, you have all three things to be excited for," said GM Kevin Londo.

Officials hope by opening up a month earlier, it'll be an extra increase in revenue that was lost in previous years.
