ESCANABA -- Angel Dawn Micheau was found guilty on Wednesday for charges of first degree child abuse.

The trial of Micheau started on Monday and wrapped up on Wednesday afternoon in Delta County Circuit Court.  The case of first degree child abuse came after Micheau's then three-month-old child was diagnosed with second degree burns and broken bones.

Micheau testified in court on Wednesday, stating that she did not burn her baby, and it was reported that she was very emotional during the verdict reading.

She is scheduled to be sentenced on April 26 in Delta County Circuit Court.
