CHASSELL -- For many of us March 14 is just another Wednesday, but for students in Chassell it's Pi Day.
It's 3.14 to be exact, and students celebrated the mathematical constant by playing Frisbee golf, where they had to throw the flying disc into a circular basket.
Students also had to recite as many digits of pi as possible, and one student was able to make it all the way to the 108 digit.
The school says they created this event in hopes that their students will develop a better appreciation for math.
"Oftentimes students see math as a boring subject, and they don't see any use for it in their future when, in reality, there is so much in life that is mathematical based," said math teacher Debra Zei.
It really wouldn't be Pi Day without some actual pie, so for the final round, students had to compete against each other to see who could eat an entire pie in the fastest amount of time without using their hands.
